• Lotus Emeya is the new electric grand tourer (GT) from Lotus, designed for the drivers. It brings together the company’s rich history, with sports car levels of performance and the latest technologies.
• Emeya is one of the fastest electric GTs in the world, with acceleration of 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under 2.8 seconds.
• Production is slated to begin in 2024. Emeya will join as a flagship model in the Lotus line-up of luxury performance electric vehicles.

This follows the launch of the Emira sports car and Eletre SUV, the Evija hypercar and record-breaking order books that promise to smash the brand’s best production numbers ever.

What is the Lotus Emeya?

• The Lotus Emeya is an electric Hyper-GT that combines extraordinary performance, emotional design and luxury GT refinement.
  
  
• Emeya sets a new benchmark for how a Lotus drives and feels by combining the company’s 75-year expertise in engineering and design with the latest advanced innovations – bringing drivers a truly engaging electric car with exceptional performance.
  
  
• Emeya brings together emotion and logic, power and precision, and connects the strength of Lotus sports car DNA with four-door luxury and comfort. The name Emeya was chosen to embody the ambition and commitment that Lotus has for this new vehicle.
  
  
• Emeya joins as the latest model in Lotus’ line-up of luxury lifestyle electric vehicles, part of the company’s vision to become a global performance brand by 2028. Production is expected to begin in 2024.  

Confidence inspiring design and engineering 

• The Emeya features a host of advanced active aerodynamic features that smooth the airflow to create class-leading levels of downforce. These features are spiritual successors to the innovative aerodynamics that shot Lotus to success on race circuits around the world. 

• At the front, Emeya features an active front grille – first seen on the Eletre Hyper-SUV – and an active air dam. The active front grille aids in two ways; reducing drag and increasing the car’s efficiency (when closed) and cooling the batteries and braking system (when open). 

• The active air dam supports increasing downforce at high speeds, improving handling and stability, making Emeya a truly exciting car to drive with great front-end feel. 

• Further active aerodynamic features at the rear include an active rear diffuser and an active rear spoiler. Both these features aid in improving rear stability, enhancing the car’s ‘For The Drivers’ handling and stability.  

• The active rear diffuser has been inspired by motorsport and plays a central role in smoothing airflow beneath the car. This improves the car’s aerodynamic efficiency as well as stability and handling. 

• The industry leading active dual-layer rear spoiler is 296mm wide, which is more than 100mm wider than it was on the Eletre. It offers a net downforce of more than 215kg. This combined with the active rear diffuser offers Emeya drivers very stable handling at higher speeds. 

• An electronically controlled air suspension system capable of ‘feeling’ the road 1,000 times a second ensures a more confident and comfortable drive. 

• Porosity – the way air flows through the car as well as all around it – has become a signature Lotus design feature. Emeya has eight vents which ensure smooth air flow, to optimise aerodynamic efficiency and improve performance and range while also cooling the brakes, motors and batteries. 

• Emeya range is expected to be broadly similar to that of the Eletre.  

• The performance of Emeya is complemented by Lotus’ market-leading charging capabilities. When connected to a rapid 350kW DC charger, drivers of Emeya can extend its range by 93 miles (150 km) with just a five-minute charge. Alternatively, Emeya has the capability on an 18-minute charge to boost its range from 10% – 80%.

• Capable of delivering 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under 2.8 seconds, Emeya is amongst the most powerful four-door GTs in the world. Where Emeya really excels is in its continued swift acceleration past this benchmark measurement.  

• Powerful and precise, the advanced two-speed transmission and high-power dual-motor configuration of Emeya works in tandem with the race-grade braking system to deliver a thrilling performance that is truly ‘For The Drivers’.

• Emeya’s interior is a space with many luxury materials and tactile surfaces, boasting an intelligent driver cockpit and intuitive infotainment system.

• Integrated road noise cancellation (RNC) ensures the experience is not interrupted by the outside world. Advanced Technology to Connect Driver to Car and Road 

• Emeya is packed with intelligent and advanced technology features that aid in a safer and assured drive, giving drivers all the necessary tools to maximise the thrills from their Lotus.

• Performance drivers can quickly access crucial external environment details using the industry leading 55-inch projected augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD).  

• It combines real-time road information with navigation and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data, displaying turn signals, obstacle warnings, lane departure, forward collision alerts and blind-spot monitoring. 

The Lotus Emeya will have a top speed of 256km/h and accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.78 seconds as well as going from 80-120km/h in less than 2 seconds.
