What are Charity Drive Days?

Charity Drive Days is a Registered Charity Association run by car enthusiasts that want to make a difference. They organise track days that enable you to drive your car on Australia’s best racing circuits and other social events throughout the year. They do it out of passion for spirited driving, socialising and raising funds for people in need.

It is an amazing opportunity for car enthusiasts to socialise, indulge their love of fine cars and enjoy the thrills of speed in a challenging but controlled environment. Be it road cars or race cars, together a shared passion for spirited driving allows us to give back to the community with a mix of track time, go-karting, skid pad activities and more.

Lotus sports car owners at Phillip Island

This year we made it possible for Lotus sports car owners to have two days at Phillip Island. The first day was running with Charity Drive Days and the second day was another Lotus Melbourne Driving Academy event.

Charity Drive Days
We were very proud to see that more than $500,000 was raised over the two day event with the Lotus community raising more than $50,000 that will be going to charity. We had twenty four Lotus sport car owners taking part with many coming down from Queensland, New South Wales and even one driver from the Northern Territory.

Who can blame them really, Phillip Island is up there with Mount Panorama as one of the best racing circuits in the world.

Lotus Melbourne Driving Academy
This was our biggest event so far with twenty five Lotus owners and only four were from Victoria. We are getting very used to owners coming interstate to learn how to get the best out of their sports car.

It made the trip even more worthwhile being able to get two days of track time at this world famous racing circuit. A good opportunity to sleep on things overnight and try again on the second day.

Quite a few drivers had plenty of time to improve their PB’s in perfect weather conditions with the Simply Sports Crew on hand to provide trackside support and assistance.
